Becoming a Leading Woman in a Male-Led Industry
Please join us for our Women’s History Month themed luncheon on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 11:30 – 1:00 pm. This month’s luncheon will feature a discussion entitled “Becoming a Leading Woman in a Male-Led Industry”. We’ll hear from Karen Stanley of Stanley Construction; Christine Kirchberg Jones of Nola|Van Peursem Architects; and Angel Stinson of ServisFirst Bank. The panel will be moderated by Lisa Mays of The Catalyst Center for Business and Entrepreneurship.
What to Expect:
- Gain insight into how to build confidence regardless of the industry.
- Receive guidance for establishing goals, boundaries, and expectations in the workplace.
- Learn how to seek colleagues and/or mentors for advice, direction, and ongoing support.

Speaker Biographies:
Karen Stanley is VP of Finance at Stanley Construction Company. Now in second-generation management, Stanley Construction focuses on mass excavation at new subdivisions and commercial plazas in North Alabama. Karen provides strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership training through Key Success Factors Consulting, and she is the podcast host of Envision, Accelerate, EXCEL with Karen Stanley. Ms. Stanley earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS in Chemical Engineering, magna cum laude, Vanderbilt University.
Christine Kirchberg Jones has been an architect at Nola|Van Peursem Architects for 20 years, including 10 years as principal architect. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Norwich University in Vermont. Christine serves on various boards including the American Institute of Architects North Alabama Chapter, The Vine Pastoral Counseling Center Board, and the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees, where she currently serves as Chair. In her downtime, Christine enjoys Pilates, spending time with friends and family, photography, travel, food, and music.
Angel Strong Stinson has over 34 years of experience as a financial professional and currently serves as Regional Chief Credit Officer - Executive Vice President of Servisfirst Bank Huntsville. Since moving to Huntsville in 2005, Angel has been active in the Huntsville Community through serving on several non-profit boards as well as actively volunteering. Angel enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends, family, and her husband, Skip Stinson.
