Please join us as we welcome our February speaker, Jillian Miles Massey. Jillian will guide us on building and sustaining connections in our personal and professional lives. 

Luncheon Takeaways:

  • Relationship-Building Toolkit: Attendees will take away a framework for fostering connections through gratitude, humility, and a people-first mindset. 
  • Actionable Techniques: Participants will leave equipped with practical methods, such as using conversation cards for storytelling, writing handwritten thank-you notes, and initiating meaningful check-ins to strengthen relationships. 
  • Community Connection Strategies: Attendees will gain insight into leveraging opportunities like alumni associations, professional organizations, and local events to build and expand their network authentically. 

Speaker Biography: Jillian is a Talent Development Consultant at Horizon Point Consulting, bringing experience from higher education, industry, and nonprofit leadership. Currently, she serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Athens State University. Her early career included recruitment and training internships with Sherwin-Williams and The Walt Disney Company. Jillian actively participates in professional and civic organizations, including the Alabama Society for Human Resource Management, the Association for Talent Development, the National Career Development Association, and Leadership Greater Huntsville. An avid traveler, she has explored landmarks like the Great Wall of China, the Colosseum in Rome, and Diamond Head Mountain in Honolulu. She holds a BSBA in Human Resources Management and an MBA with a focus in HR from Auburn University. Her certifications include SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP). Jillian resides in Madison, Alabama, with her husband Brian and their three silly dogs.
