Carrie Morey

Carrie is a food entrepreneur who has found a way to balance running a business with family and friends and being a wife, and mom to 3 outgoing girls. Carrie has experienced great successes and teachable moments along her journey. She branched out in her business, to add new locations across the South, during the pandemic, and found incredible success with a food truck and pop-up events. Carrie is successful because she is dedicated to producing a quality product on a consistent basis, and she is always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge base. Come and join us on May 9th and learn more about this phenomenal entrepreneur and all her Southern charm and business sophistication!

In 2005, Carrie launched her small business with the goal of making her mother’s tender, buttery, made-by-hand biscuits accessible across the country. Two decades later, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is widely recognized as an iconic Southern brand with locations throughout the southeast.

But Carrie’s journey was never about the biscuits… or the money. Instead, it was about creating a brand that honored her passions while unapologetically aligning with her core values of family, balance, and authenticity while creating a happy positive work culture where Carrie actively seeks to see growth for her employees. And now she’s on a mission to help other female entrepreneurs do the same.

As women, we are often led to believe that we must sacrifice to get to the top…That we have to choose family or career…That it’s impossible to have it all. Carrie is living, breathing proof that not only is that way of thinking outdated, but it’s just plain wrong. Her message is simple: we each must take radical responsibility for building the lives we dream of, regardless of the circumstances. The key? Authentically building our businesses- and our lives- around the ways we want to live them.

Already a consultant to artisan food business entrepreneurs, as well as a mentor for the University of South Carolina Darla Moore Bus School, Carrie has established herself as an authority on entrepreneurship and is committed to helping women build their own empires in ways that feel most authentic and most in-alignment with who they aspire to be at the end of the day.
