Dr. Patricia G. Sims, the fourth president of Drake State Community and Technical College.  Under her leadership, Drake State is transitioning to become the premier training destination in greater Huntsville, Alabama.  Dr. Sims’ tenure has already produced great gains for the College. The College has been successful in expanding the number of Adult Education sites across greater Huntsville and has secured significant grants to expand Workforce Development training.  She has also led efforts to strengthen partnerships with area businesses and industries.   

 Dr. Sims is active throughout the community, serving on a number of boards and is a member of the Huntsville Rotary Club.  

 She is an active member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She and her husband Mike of 27 years have one daughter, Kirsten.
