I am the owner of New Beginnings Family Law, P.C., a boutique family law practice located in Huntsville, Alabama.  I represent clients in courtrooms all over North Alabama and spends most of her courtroom time in Huntsville, Decatur, Moulton, Athens, and Albertville.   With my practice being solely focused on family law, I assist clients with divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, dependency, surrogacy, adoption, terminations of parental rights, grandparent visitation, fathers’ rights, appeals, alimony, prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, mediation and collaborative law, wills and estates, and real estate and property division matters. 

 I am married to Vincent Kirk James, who serves as our firm's COO after working for 26 years for Daikin America, Inc. Together, we have three children, Nicholas Harbison (hers) and Braden James (his), both 20 years old and in college, and Chloe James, who is ours together.  Begin married, divorce, and remarried and facing the challenges posed by co-parenting or a lack thereof, I have a unique perspective on divorce and custody, which allows me to express sincere empathy for the clients I serve.

 Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, entrepreneurship, singing, reading, studying church history, spending time with my children, politics, and supporting my children in their band and dance activities.
