Alison Cannon serves as Senior Vice President Commercial Relationship Manager at SmartBank.   With over 21  years of banking experience, Alison specializes in financing for government contractors, ESOP transactions, manufacturing, commercial construction, and commercial real estate.  A Jackson Mississippi native, Alison Cannon has enjoyed living and volunteering in Huntsville for over 14 years.  A graduate of Leadership Huntsville Class 32, she is passionate about serving in the Huntsville community.  Alison currently serves on the board of directors of The Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama and is a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild.  In the past she has served as chairman, vice chairman, and recording secretary on the board of directors of Free 2 Teach.  She also served as vice president of fund development, recording secretary, and member at large on the board of directors of The Junior League of Huntsville.  Additionally, she has served on the Huntsville Museum of Art's Women's Guild, the Huntsville Museum of Art chair of Southern Blues, Burritt on the Mountain's advisory council, and Burritt on the Mountain’s finance council.  Alison’s dream is that one day Dyslexia therapy and tutoring will be available to all students in Madison County’s three public school systems.  Her husband George a Huntsville native is President of FirstBank in Madison County and a Leadership Alumni.  The Cannon’s have one daughter Keaton Anne a 8th grader at Hampton Cove Elementary.  When she is not working or volunteering, Alison enjoys spending time on their boat and riding her horse.
