Alicia Irmscher was recently promoted to be the Unit Chief of the Leadership Development Unit (LDU) in the Training Division of the FBI. LDU is the FBI’s leadership development partner whose mission is to intentionally shape FBI culture by empowering employees on their leadership journeys.
Previously Alicia served as the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst (SMAPA) for the FBI Redstone Employee Services Team. Her team is responsible for all Redstone employee communications, on-boarding of new employees, gym services, conference room reservations, employee morale, tours, community outreach and food services including a full cafeteria, coffee shop, and five Grab-N-Go locations in various buildings.
Alicia was the former Public and Congressional Affairs Officer (PAO) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at the Redstone Arsenal. She is continuing to serve in this role until the position has been filled. As the PAO, Alicia is responsible for the dissemination of information through a variety of mediums as they relate to the FBI’s mission, operations, jurisdiction, functions, statistics, accomplishments, and programs. In addition, Alicia is a cohort of the FBIs Huntsville Strategy Team where she collaborates cross divisionally with various FBI divisions. Alicia also previously served in the New Orleans FBI Field Office as the Mission Support Analyst where she consulted executive management regarding administrative and operational issues pertaining to the planning, design, development, implementation, policy, legislation, and regulations directly related to the organization.
Prior to joining the FBI, Alicia served as a National Sales Territory Manager with a public safety firm supporting law enforcement agencies across North America. As the National Territory Sales Manager Alicia was responsible for presenting, selling, project management, training, process improvement, product testing, grant writing and account management for their flagship software OffenderWatch®. Alicia worked with various Sheriffs’ Offices, Police Departments, State Law Enforcement Agencies, US Marshals Service, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sex Offender Units for management, registration, and tracking of their local sex offender population.
Alicia earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University and a master’s degree from the University of Alabama. Alicia grew up as an “Army Brat” which afforded her the opportunity to have lived in many exciting locations around the world. Alicia moved to Huntsville with her husband Eric whom she just celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary and their 3 daughters Campbell (18), Christianna (13), and Charleigh (9) in the summer of 2021. Over the years Alicia has enjoyed serving her community on several local non-profit charity board of directors. Currently she enjoys supporting her children with their school and extracurricular activities. Additionally Alicia is a graduate of Greater Huntsville Flagship Leadership L-36 course and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. When they can escape the juggling act of day-to-day life they spend time at the many local hiking trails, the local museums, visiting Pensacola Beach and enjoying time with friends and family.
