ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Kristina Hendrix, APR, is an award-winning communications executive with over 20 years of experience spanning academia, private industry, the Department of Defense, and NASA. She currently serves as Vice President for Strategic Communications at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, leading teams in marketing, communications, special events, and alumni relations, while serving as the university spokesperson and managing crisis communication. Hendrix has earned numerous accolades, including awards from Ragan Communications, the Southern Public Relations Federation, and the Public Relations Council of Alabama. She holds a bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude, from The University of Alabama and a master’s degree from The University of Memphis. Hendrix is accredited in public relations (APR), a Certified Protocol Officer, and trained in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Northwestern University. She actively participates in several professional and community organizations and has completed multiple leadership development programs, reflecting her commitment to excellence, service, and growth in her field.
